Apple release the iPhone SDK Second Beta in the market

Apple has unveiled the second beta of its iPhone software this afternoon. The second beta includes Interface Builder, Xcode IDE, Instruments, iPhone simulator, frameworks and samples, compilers, and Shark analysis tool. Free download of this software is available through the company’s Apple Developer Connection Web site. Apple already licensed Microsoft’s ActiveSync protocol to bring iPhone users e-mail connectivity on an Exchange server.

The iPhone SDK gives Microsoft the opportunity to jump on the millions of people using the iPhone without having to work with Apple, at least directly. Along with new versions of the iPhone and iPod Touch operating systems, Apple plans to release the final version of SDK in June. As Apple releases its software development kit this month, Microsoft is seen having an increased interest on the iPhone. Once the official SDK is released in June, it will be interesting to watch how unofficial iPhone development progresses.
