Dell Adds Blu-ray to Inspiron Notebook
Dell has begun selling the updated Inspiron 1525 notebook on their website. This is the laptop with an optional Blu-ray drive that can be purchased for as little as $879. The notebook features Broadcom Media Pc technology that allows systems with integrated graphics to play demanding Blu-ray titles. The award-winning Inspiron 1525 laptop features a 15.4-inch high definition wide aspect display with 720p resolution. It also includes an HDMI port for easy connectivity to high resolution displays and HDTVs.
The 1525 is also available in three colors including yellow, red and blue. Playback of HD Blu-ray titles on the 1525 is enabled by a built-in accelerator located in a mini-card slot. Dell’s Inspiron 1525 can only be ordered with integrated graphics - Intel’s GMA X3100 – in its base configuration, which some users may consider a tough compromise, especially, if they a Blu-ray burner doubles the price of the notebook.
